Keeping with trivia leading up to the Super Bowl, What is the emblem on the New Orleans Saints helmet and what does it mean ?

Fluer d' leaf or something like that. I don't know exactly but is some kind of christian symbol.

The symbol is the Fleur-de-lis it is a symbolic interpretation of a lily, and can mean perfection life and light, or the three points represent the holy trinity.

The French boys down on the river used the Fleur-de-lis as awards stickers to celebrate their ancestry, I knew a couple guys on their coaching staff so I asked for an explaination.

It is Fleur-de-lis, a stylized lily in french. Fleur means flower and lis means lily. Quite literally lily flower. This is a symbol of the City of New Orleans. Very commonly found everywhere in France as a sign of royalty. Since Katrina, the residents of New Orleans fly flags with this on them as a sign that they are rebuilding the city.
