wiffle ball tourney

I don't think June 5th is gonna work. The Millfield Grand National is that weekend and while I know that don't mean squat to a grand majority of us, 3/4th of Trimble High School and Brad Sayre will be huddled around the biggest mudhole they can find. I do have some of the specifics worked out for the tourney with HOF wiffle ball hurler "whompascat", but I just need the Sultan to pick a new date and we will post the press release.

maybe the sultan should have a tailgate party at the penton me and the guys from lodi will have the beans cooking

We are looking at June 12 for the tourney. Does Mecum's Garage accept the challenge to field a team against the Basement or are they afraid of Whompascat's nasty wiffle ball slider?

I have the Little Italy park reserved for the tourney. Working on rounding up some umpires. Each team will consist of 7 players and must include at least one female. If you can't fill a whole team just show up and there will be plenty of people to pick up from. Start spreading the word. Anyone that wants some practice is more than welcome to come up to the barn on Friday evenings as we will be playing some pickup games.

No chance of striking me out. I think the Hollister Hero and I are playing in a golf tourney at the Brass Ring on that weekend.

Will the wiffle ball start early or later in the day?

There is a charge of 5 bucks per player which equals 35 per team. Proceeds will go to the Trimble Alumni Football Association.

It looks like a couple of members of Mecum's Garage will be at a golf tourney. Can Phathead field a team to represent the Garage?

I have a golf tourny in Parkersburg that day so I will not be able to participate.

I will probably be out of town that weekend.

So do we want to change the date or what? Any Saturday is fine with me.

Depends, I'm not sure if Mecum's Garage is just trying to duck out from facing ole Whirley-Do Richards. If we change the date to the next weekend will the Garage be in or out?

I didn't mean next weekend. I meant the next weekend after June 12 which would be June 19th.

June 19th is the Doc Patton Scramble so that is out.

Basement, do we want to stick with the 12th and forget about the Garage? At this point I think it is the best bet as we would be looking at getting into July otherwise.

It's up to you. We could just scrap the whole plan if you want. I hate to leave the garage out, but if you think we can drum up enough interest to make a little money for the association then the basement nation has an A, B, and C team that will be entering. So thats 105 dollars before anyone else commits.

I think members of the garage should just stay away from this wiffleball tourney.....they dont wanna get embarassed or anything....
