Road trippin to Pitt 2nite!

The Basement Nation is headed to Pittsburgh in a few for the Pitt and Miami game 2nite. Hope Jacory Harris has all those ints out of his system, and Dion Lewis gets on a roll for Pitt. I want to see a classic. If anyone needs me this afternoon I will be in the Jerome Bettis Grill on the North Shore or Rivers Casino.

I am predicting a big Miami win. The Big East seems to be really down.

Just got back from the game. Pitt looked horrible. The scariest thing about that team is their coach's 1970's pornstache. Great atmosphere outside the stadium with all kinds of activities going on. There were concerts going on at each side of the stadium. One of my all time heros Tony Dorsett was strolling around in his old Pitt jersey signing autographs and posing for pics. The Jerome Bettis grill was really hoppin. It was like a carnival setting. Then you get inside the stadium and it was like a wake. No noise at all right from the start. I figured with a Thursday night prime time game against the Canes it would be pretty rowdy, but I was wrong. The fans were not involved at all. They did have some good food though. Coach Oz sure can put away the Cheese steaks. On a side note, I was surprised to hear that Pitt had 9 National titles to their credit. It's been a while, but 9 is still pretty impressive.

The NCAA began officially began awarding National Championships in 1936. Prior to that, the awards were given by various publications and news agencies. Pitt only has 2 official National Championsip (1937 & 1976). The other 7 were earned before 1936. Still impressive, though.

Mr. Pornstache might be the most overrated coach ever. He never wins but keeps landing and in this case, keeping good jobs. Never done anything in Chicago but somehow gets the Miami job. Doesn't get it done there and gets the Pitt job. He has consistently bagged a top recruiting class but the wins don't come.

He can't expect to win too many games with that qb they are starting. That kid looked horrible.
