Here we go Sultan, hope this is what ya wanted.
Top ten reasons the bears shoud fire Lovie Smith!
10. Firing Ron Rivera- Why, after the bears go to the Super Bowl in 06, do they immediately fire the guy who put together a very stingy D that led them there? Makes no sense to me, and the D has been goin downhill ever since.
9. No Progress on Defense- Lovie is supposed to be a "Defensive Minded" coach, yet the Defensive Line and Secondary have never looked worse. Yeh, the Urlacher injury hurt, but he should be able to make the needed adjustments.
8. Lost their identity- Coming into December, Da Bears were dead last in rushing yards per game and rushing attempts per game. This from a team that has traditionally smashed you in the mouth and ran the football. They have totally lost their identity under Lovie.
7. Losing when it counts- The Bears haven't made the playoffs since the Super Bowl year in 06. They were one and done the year before that losing to Carolina in their first playoff game. They lost to the Texans in the last game of 08 where a win could have gotten them in. When the chips are down, they just can't get it done.
6. Trading away Thomas Jones- He has been very productive for the Jets and has posted 3 consecutive 1000+ yard seasons since being sent packing from Chicago. Why?
5. Wasting Talent- Devin Hester was a phenom in his first 2 seasons in the league. Lovie Converts him to Wide Receiver and he has been mediocre at best. Meanwhile, the move cost the bears perhaps the greatest return man in NFL History.
4. Not Developing Players- Under different coaches, former Bears go elseware and perform much better. Kyle Orton and Cedric Benson are two examples of such.
3. No Passion- Under Lovie there is no accountability, no passion, and no fun. He needs to get his blood boiling a little bit for this great game we call football. He is bland and shows no emotion on the sideline and it has carried over to the players on the field. Where are the MONSTERS OF THE MIDWAY we've come to know. They need to play like their hair is on fire and with a purpose instead of this half-hearted goin through the motions stuff they picked up during the Lovie Era. Attitude reflects leadership!
2. Bad Drafts, Free Agent Signings, and Trades- The bears have really struck out lately by failing to draft well or by simply lacking picks because of trading them all off for little return. You've got to be able to evaluate the talent and keep it coming though to be a success. Some of the free agents signed leaves ya scratching your head. Why bring in people like Orlando Pace (has been) and Frank Omiyale (never was). Then they trade their top pick in 2010, a second rounder because they already traded their first rounder, for Gaines Adams (Never will be) If your top pick in the draft is a second rounder, wouldn't you want a little more bang for your buck than Gaines Adams?
And the number one reason they should fire Lovie Smith:
1. Just For Having a Name Like Lovie!- Ain't that just kick ya in the crotch, bite ya on the neck scary? Really makes ya wanna go to war for the guy don't it. I Mean, wasn't he the millionaires wife on Gilligans Island?
