Pete Carroll

I hear that Pete Carroll may be interested in going to the Seahawks for 70 million over a six year period.

He's been fired as a head coach in the NFL twice, why not make it 3?

I hope he goes. I'm tired of USC but you can't hardly argue with the success that he has had there.

ESPN is now reporting that is a 5 year 35 million. The record for college coaches going to the NFL is not good. He has it pretty good at USC. Guess maybe he feels he has something to prove.

I don't understand why he is leaving. I am glad he is and I hate him because he is good. But there is more work involved with being an NFL head coach, you can't pick your own players, the year is alot longer, the money and notoriety is usually bigger in college, and he would have been a college football legend if he would have stayed at USC. He has failed twice in the NFL, I just don't understand why you would want leave.

I'm with you Rock. I'm a USC hater so I will be glad to see him leave but I think he might be on the road to being an all-time legend if he stays. I don't understand why he would want to leave especially when he has already not had success twice.

maybe it has something to do with the allegations of players taking $ at u.s.c.

The allegations wont cost him recruits or anything like that, they'll cost him wins, so hes getting out of dodge

Getting out before the NCAA drops the hammer on the program. Plus thats some pretty good coin he's gettin. Why would he care if he gets fired in couple years. Cash in big, get fired, then go back to the college ranks where schools will be beating down the door to get him. Then laugh all the way to the bank.

What does he have left to prove at USC? I say he should go, third time may be a charm!

He could be Bear Bryant at USC why leave? Wait out the scandal at USC and be a legend.

Hating USC so won't be the same without him there. I still agree with Rock, if he stays he will be an all-time legend.

ESPN is mentioning Jeff Fisher as a possible replacement at USC. Man, I would hate for them to get one of the best coaches in the NFL. They won 7 straight PAC 10 titles with Carroll. Fisher would probably be even better.

Pete Carroll got any prospect in California he wanted. I wonder if Jeff Fisher can do the same?

He also got them from every else. Fred Davis was from Toledo.

USC can have coach tressel. I dont think many OSU fas would really care
